International Park of Contemporary Sculpture

The open-air extension of the Museo dei Bozzetti (Maquettes’ Museum), the International Park of Contemporary Sculpture, enhances representation of the special characteristics of Pietrasanta and its ancient traditions in the field of the realization of sculptural works.

A large number of monumental contemporary sculptures located in public spaces both in the town centre and surroundings, constitutes a clear sign of the strong connection between Pietrasanta and the masters of sculpture who worked here or are still regular frequenters of local workshops.

This open-air museum route takes in roads, squares, gardens not only in the town centre, but also its surroundings. The works of art, placed in locations carefully chosen and prepared for the purpose, add a very special dimension to the urban landscape, and provide strong visual testimony to the unique connections between Pietrasanta and Art.
